HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR LONG LASTING HYDRATION INJECTIONS TO WORK?

The treatment takes approximately two weeks to take full effect.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Long Lasting Hydration Injections are not suitable if any of the following (among others) apply to you:

  • Patients suffering from untreated epilepsy;
  • Patients who tend to develop hypertrophic scarring;
  • Patients with known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid and/or to gram positive bacterial proteins as hyaluronic acid is produced by Streptococcus type bacteria;
  • Patients with known hypersensitivity to lidocaine or to amide-type local anaesthetics;
  • Patients suffering from porphyria;
  • Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding;
  • Patients under 18 years of age.
  • Long Lasting Hydration Injections must not be used in areas presenting cutaneous inflammatory and/or infectious processes (acne, herpes, etc.).
  • Long Lasting Hydration Injections should not be used simultaneously with laser treatment, deep chemical peels or dermabrasion. For surface peels, it is recommended not to inject the product if the inflammatory reaction
    generated is significant.

POST TREATMENT CARE

  • Any small raised areas at the injection site will disappear within 1-2 hours following treatment.
  • Bruising, redness and tenderness to the injection site is common and will resolve in 1-2 weeks.
  • Avoid alcohol consumption for 12 hours.
  • Avoid exercise for 48 hours following treatment.
  • Avoid applying makeup to the area for 12 hours.
  • Avoid extreme sun exposure, UV light, freezing temperatures and saunas for 2 weeks.
